About Us

Bill Gostomski started his gunsmithing career in Baltimore in 1976 at age 20. After a 2‑year apprenticeship and 2 years of full‑time gunsmithing, he moved to Western Maryland with his wife and young son to open his own shop.

In 1990, growth in customer base led to the construction of a 2,000 sq ft shop and 100‑yard range in Mount Savage, MD. In 2017, the shop expanded to 2,700 sq ft to include a full machine shop, hoening stock duplicator, glass beading and Cerakote room, and customer storefront.

Twenty‑three years after opening, Bill welcomed his son Pete into the business. Pete earned machinist credentials from the Robert C. Byrd Institute and has worked as a gunsmith for 22 years. In 2014, Bill’s son‑in‑law Zack Roberts joined, expanding the shop’s expertise.

Stock fitting, shaping, finishing, refinishing, and precision duplication using our hoening duplicator.
